The Treasury Department released proposed rules for the Section 45X advanced manufacturing production tax credit Thursday for firms investing in the production of green energy components, expanding on definitions and beefing up safeguards from fraud.
The proposed rules clarified definitions and confirmed credit amounts for solar energy components, wind energy components, inverters, qualifying battery components, and applicable critical minerals.
