New Jersey lawmakers have revived a bill that would help taxpayers ease the federal cap on state and local tax deductions, just before the measure was set to expire.
The bill (S. 3246) passed the state Assembly Appropriations Committee with amendments on Dec. 12. The vote came almost a year after the measure passed the state Senate. The bill otherwise would have expired when the legislative session ends next month.
