NJ Direct File Expands to Include Retirement Income Filers

New Jersey’s Direct File program expanded to allow New Jersey residents with retirement income to use the online tool to file their federal and state individual tax returns, the New Jersey Department of Treasury announced Tuesday.

The New Jersey Direct File website launched on Jan. 28 and this expansion makes the free online filing tool available to roughly 400,000 more residents, including those with distributions from employer-sponsored pension and retirement accounts, the department said.
