North Dakota is pushing the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh in on federal climate regulation—the latest in a series of recent petitions on the issue.
The state filed a petition Friday asking the justices to review a January appellate court ruling and clarify the scope of the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions under a provision of the Clean Air Act.
