Norway is seeking feedback on a proposal to establish a national list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes, the country’s finance ministry announced Wednesday.
The list compiled by the non-EU country would be aligned, “to the greatest possible extent,” with the EU’s list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions, according to the finance ministry.
The establishment of the national list is part of Norway’s efforts to align with the EU’s securitization rules and the bloc’s actions against tax evasion. A public consultation on the proposal ends June 13.
