NY Lawmaker Seeks More Talks on SALT
As lawmakers consider passing a second GOP-only budget-related package this year, a New York Republican wants the state and local tax deduction to be part of those talks.
Rep. Nick LaLota (R-N.Y.), who helped secure a five-year boost of the SALT deduction cap from $10,000 to $40,000 in the 2025 GOP tax law, said he’ll seek further expansion if a second tax bill materializes, Bloomberg News’ Nacha Cattan and Erik Wasson report.
