Ohio’s highest court on Wednesday quietly dismissed a petition from workers who claimed they were double taxed and denied income tax withholding credit from the state.
The ruling, issued without an opinion, ends a 14-month effort to force the Ohio Department of Taxation to create new policies for workers who are denied W-2 statements because they’re employers closed shop or because those records were lost.
