The primary owners and operators of two illegal gambling businesses in Ohio and an associated tax-evasion scheme failed to overturn their convictions and sentences on appeal.
A panel of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit on Monday rejected Christos Karasarides Jr. and Ronald DiPietro’s challenges to their trial procedures and their ensuing sentences, finding that their arguments lacked merit.
