Ohio Municipalities, School Districts Approve Tax Increases (1)

Voters in four Ohio municipalities and five school districts approved local income tax increases May 6, unofficial results showed.

Tax rate changes in municipalities included:

  • Alexandria, in Licking County, to 1.5% from 1%, effective July 1, 2025.
  • Avon, in Lorain County, to 1.95% from 1.75%, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
  • DeGraff, in Logan County, to 1.75% from 1%, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
  • North Canton, in Stark County, to 2% from 1.5%, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Tax rate changes in school districts included:

  • Bowling Green City School District, in Wood and Henry Counties, to 1.25% from 0.5%, effective ...
