The Ohio Department of Taxation is now led by Patricia Harris, who moves into the commissioner role after being chief operating officer at the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation.
Harris was confirmed to the position by the state Senate April 19, endorsing Gov. Mike DeWine’s (R) January nomination. She succeeds Jeff McClain, who retired at the end of last year.
- She started her career at the Ohio bureau in 1991 as a claims representative and took on multiple leadership positions, including chief of claims services.
