Overtime, Tip Income Earners Filed Taxes Earlier, Survey Finds

Taxpayers with tip and overtime income were more likely to know about the GOP’s 2025 tax-and-spending law and were more likely to file their taxes early, a sign of potential enthusiasm about the law’s new breaks, a new survey from the Bipartisan Policy Center found.

The poll found that a majority of taxpayers had at least some awareness of the tax changes Republicans made. However, the results don’t indicate whether respondents made a connection between the 2025 law and their personal tax situations.
