Pennsylvania Board Orders Tax Refund to Taxpayer for Erroneous Payments

Sept. 24, 2025, 8:14 PM UTC

The Pennsylvania Board of Finance and Revenue (BFR) ordered a refund of state tax, plus applicable interest, to the taxpayer, subject to any other outstanding tax obligations. The taxpayer had requested a refund of tax erroneously paid on various transactions. The Board found that the taxpayer was entitled to a refund for certain transactions but denied relief for other transactions where the taxpayer failed to provide sufficient documentation or establish that the transactions were exempt from tax.
