Pennsylvania DOR Announces 2026 Tax Rates for Aviation Gasoline, Alternative Fuels

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (DOR) published a notice announcing 2026 tax rates for aviation fuels, oil company franchise tax, and alternative fuels. Effective Jan. 1, 2026 the tax rate on aviation gasoline will remain at 5.7 cents per gallon and jet fuel will remain at 1.7 cents per gallon. The oil company franchise tax rate is set at 57.6 cents per gallon for gasoline and 74.1¢ per gallon for undyed diesel. The notice also provides tax rates for various alternative fuels, including ethanol, methanol, propane, electricity, compressed natural gas, and liquefied natural gas. [Pa.
