Philadelphia resident Diane Zilka told the US Supreme Court in a petition for review that she’s owed a refund of some of the city and state income taxes she paid while working in Delaware.
Zilka asked the justices to review the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s November holding that upheld Philadelphia’s refund denial. Zilka worked in Wilmington, Del., and sought a refund of the Philadelphia wage tax for income taxes paid to Delaware and Wilmington between 2013 and 2016 that exceeded her Pennsylvania state tax credit.
