A former Treasury Department official and top OECD negotiator on Tuesday shared his concerns about a peer-review process that will decide if countries are applying the global minimum tax rules appropriately.
Michael Plowgian, who stepped down as deputy assistant secretary at the Treasury for international tax affairs in December, told Bloomberg Tax he has several concerns about the peer review process, including ensuring that countries are applying the OECD’s administrative guidance in their respective jurisdictions.
