Poland will accept a renegotiated deal that will exclude US companies from a global minimum tax, according to people familiar with the matter.
The nation, which initially voted against the agreement because of the treatment of tax credits under the renegotiated framework, dropped its opposition following meetings with the US and other countries throughout the past week, according to the people.
Poland lifting its objections is a crucial step toward finalization of the renegotiated agreement, which requires the assent of more than 140 countries at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
