The US Tax Court upheld the tax levy Monday against Michael R. Stevenson, a musical artist who raps under the name of Tyga. The court rejected his claims that an IRS settlement officer abused her discretion in issuing a notice of levy—a legal seizure of someone’s property or assets—on the rapper over a tax liability, interest, and penalties of $2.3 million for the 2019 tax year.
