Reeves Mulls Tweaks to UK’s Tax Plans for ‘Non-Dom’ Foreigners

Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves is considering tweaks to her overhaul of the UK’s tax regime for wealthy foreigners, amid concern that Labour’s current plans may end up costing revenue.

Reeves is examining different policy options to maximize the tax take from reforms affecting people officially domiciled overseas, or “non-doms,” according to two people familiar with the matter. Any changes would be consistent with Labour’s manifesto promises and decisions will be announced in the budget on Oct. 30, said the people, speaking on condition of anonymity.
