GOP Presses for Movement on Global Talks
House Republicans used a Ways and Means Committee hearing to warn countries negotiating at the OECD to speed the process on forging a deal to exempt US companies from the 15% global minimum tax.
“We expect to see technical work that has been done in these negotiations move forward this week. We have been patient to allow for all negotiating parties to have the space they need to reach agreement, but they must reach agreement,” panel Chair Jason Smith (R-Mo.) said Wednesday during a hearing on international tax competition.
