Retirement Reform Package Could Move This Year

Despite deep divisions between Republicans and Democrats, as well as big ticket items such as government funding and a major social spending and alternative energy package taking up time and attention, hope springs eternal that a bipartisan retirement bill could become law before the end of this Congress.

Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas), the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, said during a Wednesday press call that he is in talks with committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-Mass.) to get a vote on the SECURE 2.0 bill that the committee advanced last May.
