The Rhode Island Division of Taxation published an advisory reminding taxpayers and tax professionals that the due date for filing the state resident and nonresident personal income tax returns on extension for Tax Year 2024 is Oct. 15. The advisory provides that the deadline also applies to some other entities and offers tips for extension filers, including recommendations for e-filing, seeking free tax preparation assistance if needed, and accessing forms and instructions.
