The Saint Lucian Ministry of Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation, External Affairs, and the Public Service Aug. 2 announced the revision of the minimum wage. The announcement includes setting the minimum wage at: 1) 1,130 Eastern Caribbean dollars (US$418.12) monthly; 2) 52 dollars (US$19.24) daily; and 3) 6.52 dollars (US$2.41) hourly. The announcement also includes that the effective date of the salary change for eligible employees is Oct. 1.
