Schumer Vows SALT Breaks, Business Tax Hikes If Democrats Sweep

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) plans to take another run at weakening or eliminating the Senate filibuster for voting rights legislation, would aim to raise taxes on business, and ensure that a cap on state and local tax deductions dies if Democrats sweep November’s elections, he told reporters at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago Tuesday.
