Senate Confirms Lee to SEC, Patel for Treasury

The Senate confirmed by voice vote Allison Lee to be a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission and Bimal Patel to be an assistant secretary of the Treasury.

• NOTE: The Senate Banking Committee backed Lee’s nomination by voice vote earlier this week; she will succeed Democrat Kara Stein, who left the SEC in January.
• The Senate also confirmed Dino Falaschetti to be director of the Office of Financial Research at the Treasury Department.
