Senate Confirms Virginia, Louisiana Judges for U.S. Tax Court

The full Senate has confirmed two of President Donald Trump’s nominees to serve 15-year terms as judges on the U.S. Tax Court.

The Senate on Thursday confirmed Alina I. Marshall of Virginia and Christian N. Weiler of Louisiana via voice vote.

  • In testimony before the Senate Finance Committee, Marshall described herself as an immigrant who learned English in public school and from watching Sesame Street after her family came to the U.S. from Romania.
