Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) expanded the scope of a years-long tax evasion inquiry involving Credit Suisse Group AG, demanding information from more overseas banks that received funds from the lender.
Wyden sent letters to four new banks Thursday seeking details about their relationships with a family of dual U.S.-Latin American nationals, which a March report alleged had an undeclared overseas fortune. The letters went to Swiss banks Union Bancaire Privée and PKB Privatbank; Israel-based Bank Leumi; and Andbank, based in Andorra.
