Senate GOP Mulls Blocking House-Passed Bipartisan Tax Bill (1)

Senate Republicans say they are willing to block the $78 billion bipartisan tax deal if they don’t get input, even after the House passed the legislation by a large majority this week.

Over 350 lawmakers in the fractious House voted in favor of the bill that pairs the renewal of business tax breaks with a child tax credit expansion, sending the measure to the Senate.
