A bill to rework some IRS operations has already been vetted by lawmakers to the point that Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said he may not bring it before his committee at all, instead letting it go straight to the Senate floor.
“I think there’s been so much work on that IRS restructuring bill that we won’t even have to run it through committee,” he told Bloomberg Tax April 2.
