Senate to Go on Break as It Awaits Any Stimulus Deal: McConnell

The Senate will go on its August break and will return if needed to vote on a deal for the next stimulus package if one is reached, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says on the Senate floor.

  • Lawmakers will get 24 hours notice if they need to return for a vote; chamber will hold pro forma sessions and will otherwise next return for legislative work on Sept. 8
