The owner of a New Jersey shipping and logistics company pleaded guilty to not paying $3.5 million in payroll taxes from his business, the Justice Department announced Nov. 5.
According to the DOJ, Walter Hass owned and operated a shipping company and failed to collect, account for, and pay over payroll taxes from 2014 to 2022.
