Simpson Thacher Promotes Three New York Tax Attorneys to Partner

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP will elevate three tax attorneys in New York to partner on Jan. 1, the law firm announced this month.

Jonathan Cantor concentrates his practice on federal income tax, particularly capital markets transactions including high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, note programs, equity offerings, liability management transactions, stock repurchases, and asset securitizations.

Jodi Schneider advises clients on the federal income tax aspects of forming private investment funds among a wide range of corporate matters. She also advises on real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and related credit and capital markets financing transactions.

William Smolinski advises on federal income tax matters involving private fund formations, structuring and related transactions, M&A, acquisition finance, and securities offerings, among other transactions.

They are among 36 attorneys that Simpson Thacher promoted in its latest class of partners.
