Singapore Sees 13% Increase in Tax Revenue After Covid Recovery

Singapore collected 13% more in tax revenue over the past fiscal year than the year before, according to a report released Wednesday from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore.

In an annual report, the nation’s tax authority said it collected more than $68 billion in revenue during the 2022-23 fiscal year, a $7.9 billion increase from its 2021-22 collections. The government also boasted a new AI chat bot to help Singaporeans file their taxes, a tool it says has helped streamline filing and increase tax compliance among its base.
