The Slovenian finance ministry is seeking feedback on a proposal to impose a 25% tax on personal profits from the disposal of crypto assets.
The proposal issued Thursday would close a loophole in the country’s tax system which levies business income from crypto asset trading but exempts natural persons buying and selling crypto assets as an investment.
Comments on the proposal are due by May 5. If approved by parliament, it is expected to take force Jan. 1, 2026.
