Solar manufacturers are rethinking their supply chains ahead of new restrictions for energy tax credits set to take effect next year under the recent GOP tax law.
The law’s foreign entity of concern restrictions are causing some suppliers to restructure their company ownership or change the country where they manufacture components, said Natasha Cherenkova, senior vice president of supply chain at solar and storage developer DEPCOM Power, during a Tuesday panel at Infocast’s Energy Tax Equity & Credits Markets conference in Houston.
“There will be a lot of reshuffling,” Cherenkova said.
