Americans legally bet $13 billion on sports in 2019, the first full year they could do so outside of Nevada, according to a report from the American Gaming Association.
That resulted in $118 million in tax revenue across the 14 states that allow it.
According to the report, states have collected a total of $152 million in tax revenue off of the $17 billion bet legally on sports since the Supreme Court overturned the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in 2018—allowing states other than Nevada to regulate the industry.
