Sweden’s Finance Minister Says Taxes Need to Be Raised: SVD

Swedish Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson says taxes need to go up across the country, according to an interview with Svenska Dagbladet.

  • Andersson, who has made similar remarks about taxes in the past, said that “capital values and capital income have increased very much in recent years and have also become more concentrated among the richest percentage. That is why we want to increase taxation”
  • Says she’s not working on any proposals to raise income taxes
