Swiss Group Urges Government Not to Apply Global Tax in 2024

A Swiss business group urged the country’s government not to adopt the 15% global minimum tax in 2024, warning the risks of applying the levy “early” are “too high.”

“The Federal Council must decide whether to put the minimum tax into effect in 2024,” Economie Suisse, a Swiss industry group, said in an article. “From the perspective of the Swiss economy, the conditions for this do not yet exist. The risks of an early introduction of the minimum tax are currently still too high.”
