Takeda Settles With Irish Revenue Over Shire Break Fee

Takeda Pharmaceutical says it agreed with the Irish Revenue Commissioners to settle a tax assessment on a acquisition break fee received by Shire in Oct. 2014.

  • Company will pay €130m, resulting in a tax expense reduction of ~63b yen as it will reverse previously recorded provisions
  • Will announce any revision to full-year forecast in earnings call on Oct. 26
