Tamar Partners Make First Sheshinski Tax Payment: Calcalist

The partners in the Tamar gas reserve, off the coast of Israel, have made the first Sheshinski tax payment, nine years after the law mandating the tax was passed, and seven years after the first flow of gas from the field, Calcalist reports, without saying where it got the information.

  • The partners made a $15 million payment at the end of 2020, and are expected to pay about $300 million in 2021
