A group of former clients of the J. David Tax Law LLC firm have cleared the first hurdle to advance class action malpractice claims over its handling of matters before the IRS.
Clients Larry and Dawn Iverson, George E. Howell III, and GH Heating & Air LLC alleged that J. David Tax Law LLC was negligent when it charged non-refundable fees and provided them with tax advice in Wisconsin despite having no professionals licensed in that state, leading in some cases to extended disputes with the IRS.
