Tax Writer Seeks 2026 Crypto Bill Passage
A House Republican tax writer is hoping to pass tax-related cryptocurrency legislation by next summer.
“We believe we can get this thing through by hopefully next August,” Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio) said at the Blockchain Association’s policy summit in Washington Tuesday.
Miller said he’s had discussions with several of his fellow House Ways and Means Committee members about his in-the-works proposal, and hopes to announce a lead Democratic co-sponsor “soon.”
