Taxpayers Impacted by the Conflict in Israel Get IRS Extension

The IRS said Tuesday it’s postponing tax deadlines for individuals and businesses impacted by the ongoing conflict in Israel for filing returns, making payments, and performing other tax-related actions.

Taxpayers impacted throughout 2024 and 2025 are covered, following on guidance in 2023 and 2024.

The guidance defers several filing and payment deadlines from Sept. 30, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2026, for those in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. The agency is also giving related relief to taxpayers who may be unable to meet tax obligations or perform time-sensitive actions due to the conflict.
