TaxSlayer Escapes Suit Over Taxpayer Data Shared Via Ad Trackers

A class action lawsuit against online tax preparation company TaxSlayer LLC alleging that it shared private user information with Alphabet Inc.'s Google and Meta Platforms Inc. has been voluntarily dismissed.

Alex Wright, who sought to represent the allegedly affected taxpayers, voluntarily withdrew the suit Monday in a filing to the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
