Tech companies appear united in calling on the IRS to withdraw proposed regulations on cloud transactions.
In letters released Tuesday, the Information Technology Industry Council, the Software Finance & Tax Executives Council, and the Software Coalition and Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group joined other major business groups in asking for the IRS to drop the draft rules.
The groups’ recommendations join similar comments from the National Foreign Trade Council and the United States Council for International Business.
