US tech and media companies subject to a 5% fee on streaming services in Canada want Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Donald Trump to discuss repealing the charge when they meet for tariff talks Tuesday.
Companies making C$25 million ($18 million) or more selling streaming services in Canada began paying a fee under the Online Streaming Act in August.
