Texas Justices Take Utility’s Electrical Line Appraisal Clash

The Texas Supreme Court agreed on Friday to review an appeal over whether an electric utility can contest the appraised value of its transmission lines or whether it’s bound to a settlement between a predecessor company and a county appraiser.

The county appraiser, the Mills Central Appraisal District, is looking to affirm a state trial court’s dismissal of a tax liability challenge from Oncor Electric Delivery Co.
