Top Finance Republican Blasts Tax Bill Pressure on Senators (2)

The top Senate Finance Committee Republican said he’s seeking to get his caucus to agree on what they want changed in the $78 billion tax package, but blasted any presumption his party would “rubber stamp” the bill.

Sen. Mike Crapo of Idaho told reporters Wednesday he won’t back the business-and-child tax break legislation until most Senate Republicans support it. The list of GOP issues with the measure is long, Crapo said.
