Treasury Dept agrees to extend a deadline for using production tax credits and investment tax credits used by the wind, solar and other clean energy industries, according to a letter sent to senators who asked for the change.
- Move would extend a “safe harbor” provision that allows companies that begin construction on a project in 2016 or 2017 to claim the tax credits
- “Projects that have been waylaid by the economic disruptions of this pandemic can now proceed with more certainty,” Senate Finance Cmte Chairman
