Treasury, IRS to Release Draft 2020 Tax Forms in Next Few Weeks

The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service will release some new tax forms for 2020 in the coming weeks, a top Treasury official said.

A new draft of the Form 1040, which taxpayers use to file annual income tax returns, should come out in a couple of weeks, Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy David Kautter said May 20 at a conference sponsored by the American Institute of CPAs.
