Treasury, Trump Urge Court to Toss House Dems’ Tax Return Suit

The Treasury Department and President Donald Trump asked a court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by House Democrats trying to force the department to hand over the president’s tax returns.

The administration argued in a Sept. 6 filing that the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia doesn’t have authority to rule on the dispute between the legislative and executive branches.
